Cops are still searching for the callous crooks that recently cut down a new “Welcome to Ozone Park” sign—only to discard it near a field not far from its home.
The sign was swiped last Monday, Oct. 26, a few hours after elected officials and community leaders gathered at the intersection of 149th Avenue and Cross Bay Boulevard to unveil it.
Investigators were able to obtain grainy surveillance video of the two purported perps (photo). Anyone with information on the alleged man and woman responsible for the act are asked to call the 106th Precinct Detective Squad at (718) 969-5005.
