City deputy sheriffs early Sunday morning shut down a Corona restaurant that was tossing an illegal party—complete with more than 305 revelers—in its basement.
Law enforcement agents said they were only able to gain access to the event at Sueño Americano on Junction Boulevard after partygoers pleaded with bar staff to open the locked doors and let them out.
“Four egresses bolted shut,” deputy sheriffs noted.
In addition to violations of emergency orders, no liquor license, and health code violations, five people at the illegal event were hit with various misdemeanors, sheriffs said.
