Members of the 106th Precinct on Friday thanked the Howard Beach community for donating hundreds of Easter baskets to the less fortunate this year.
“Thank you to the Howard Beach/Lindenwood Civic Association and Howard Beach Moms for the Easter Basket donations to churches and shelters within our community,” grateful cops wrote on Facebook. “So many children will have a Happy Easter thanks to all your generosity.”
The Howard Beach Lindenwood Civic returned the favor.
“The HBLCIVIC/HBMom Easter Basket Drive was an enormous success. None of this would have been possible without the tons of donations received from residents of Howard Beach and the surrounding communities,” they wrote on FB. “Once again our partners at the 106th Pct., especially Det. Brenda Reddick, were instrumental in identifying our distribution locations. Thank you to all who donated and to Hunny Bunny for putting love into making each basket. So many children will have a Happy Easter thanks to all your generosity.”
