The Howard Beach Lindenwood Civic recently coordinated the construction of a “Tribute in Light” to mark the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.
“These lights will shine brightly for the next two weeks as we remember all who were affected on that day,” the civic wrote on Facebook Saturday night as it detailed the installation located next to the Welcome to Howard Beach sign.
The group also thanked “West Hamilton Beach Fire Dept. Chief Nick Spinelli and Firefighter John Stewart for their vision, time and talent and for getting all of the material donated. This would never
have been done without them. Thank you to Mike Giordanella and Frank Martin for helping with the build.”
