Earlier this month, State Sen. Joe Addabbo, Jr. (D-Howard Beach) coordinated with young community activists Jacob Altamirano and Jamie Longo to collect food and feminine hygiene products to benefit those in need through the Hungry Monk Rescue Truck.
In addition to the food collected at Addabbo’s Middle Village office, Jacob was able to donate $2,000 worth of food to the Hungry Monk Rescue Truck that he earned on his own by recycling cans and bottles.
