On Friday, at approximately 9:10 p.m. police responded to a 911 call of a car accident on South Conduit Avenue in the vicinity of 125th Street.
Upon arrival, cops observed a single-vehicle collision at the location. A preliminary investigation determined that a 2001 Nissan Altima, being driven by 19-year-old man, was travelling along South Conduit Avenue in the vicinity of 125th Street, when the operator failed to properly navigate the roadway, causing the vehicle to exit the roadway and strike a tree, before rotating and coming to a rest. The unidentified motorist was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, via EMS, in stable condition.
Shannon Cassidy Primlal, a 19-year-old woman who was the front-seat passenger in the vehicle, was also transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center via EMS and pronounced dead.
The investigation is ongoing by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad.
