State Sen. Joe Addabbo, Jr. (D-Howard Beach) this week urged his 15th Senatorial District constituents to participate in upcoming public workshops on the proposed new routes in the borough Bus Network Redesign plan.

The massive project is part of a larger effort to modernize NYC’s bus network and improve service borough by borough. New York City Transit and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority are taking a fresh look at the bus network, with the goal of meeting customers’ priorities including more reliable service, faster travel, better connections, and ease of use, the senator said.

The neighborhoods within the 15th District and the dates of the virtual public workshops are:

  • Wednesday, May 4 for Community District 5: Ridgewood, Maspeth, Middle Village, Glendale, Fresh Pond, and Liberty Park.
  • Thursday, May 5 for Community District 6: Forest Hills and Rego Park.
  • Monday, May 16 for Community District 9: Richmond Hill, Woodhaven, Ozone Park, and Kew Gardens.
