Fellow Finest, family, and friends gathered at 118th Street and Jamaica Avenue on Saturday to honor Det. Brian Simonsen by co-naming that part of 118th Street “Detective Brian Simonsen Way.”
Simonsen was shot and killed on Feb. 12, 2019, by friendly fire in the line of duty after two crooks tried to rob a Richmond Hill cell phone store.
