Area elected officials, including representatives from City Councilwoman Joann Ariola’s (R-Ozone Park) office, State Sen. Joe Addabbo, Jr., and Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar (both D-Woodhaven); City Department of Sanitation staff; and Woodhaven Business Improvement District leaders recently walked Jamaica Avenue to engage with residents and merchants, and listen to their concerns and ideas on how to enhance the busy Queens thoroughfare.
Established in 1993, the WBID has been a band of property owners, business men and women, as well as community leaders, dedicated to improving Woodhaven commerce.
