Are you diabetic, pre-diabetic or have a family history of diabetes? Do you want to learn how to improve your health in a fun, hands-on way, plus have the chance to win free baskets of freshly grown greens? If you answered “yes,” State Sen. Joe Addabbo, Jr. (D-Woodhaven) has an event for you.

In recognition of November as Diabetes Awareness Month, Addabbo is hosting an interactive diabetes session which will feature a live cooking demonstration, nutritional information, a farming lesson on how to grow your own fruits and vegetables, light exercises, games and prizes.

This will be far from a boring health class. Instead, you will have the opportunity to participate in a completely new and unique experience.
