Captain Berkley VanTull, the new commanding officer of the 106th Precinct, joined Rabbi Avrohom Richter and his wife Zeldi on Sunday evening in leading the lighting of the Howard Beach Judea Chabad menorah.
It marked VanTull’s first community event since he succeeded Deputy Inspector Jerome Bacchi as commander of the precinct that serves Howard Beach, Old Howard Beach, Ozone Park, South Ozone Park, and Lindenwood.
“We will miss you, DI!” Howard Beach Lindenwood Civic leaders wrote on Facebook. They also indicated that they look forward to working with VanTull.
