The Ridgewood 321 Kiwanis, in collaboration with Sen. Joe Addabbo, Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar, Councilmembers Joann Ariola and Bob Holden, Vietnam Veterans Chapter 32, Allied Veterans, Pots 104, Post 118 Ladies Auxiliary, Ozone Park Woodhaven Howard Beach Lions, Glendale Property Owners, OZP Block Association and Woodhaven Residents Block Association are collecting the following items for the State Nursing Home at St. Albans:
Toiletries, candy, new underwear, T-Shirts, socks, and sweats for men and women veterans.

“Each new year starts out with hope and optimism. As we welcome 2024, I extend my warmest wishes to everyone,” Sen. Addabbo said.
Donations will be collected until Feb. 12, 2024.
Drop off locations include:
59-03 Summerfield St.; Holden’s office 58-38 69th St.; Addabbo’s office 66-85 73rd Pl.; Addabbo’s second drop-off location at 84-16 Jamaica Ave.; Ariola’s office 96-06 101st Ave.; Cook’s Crafts at 80-09 Myrtle Ave.

Ariola added, “Help us to give our local veterans a great Valentine’s Day!”
Holden said on Twitter, “We’re partnering with Ridgewood 3-2-1 Kiwanis, elected officials, & civics for a good cause! We’re collecting items for men & women veterans at the Nursing Home at St. Albans. My office will be a drop-off location. See flyer for details. Donations are accepted until Feb 12th.”
