Making Sweet Music in Woodhaven

Hundreds of families gathered at Forest Park Plaza near the intersection of Forest Parkway and Jamaica Avenue on Friday for hours of sweet food, fun, and sounds courtesy of the Woodhaven Business Improvement District’s Make Music Woodhaven celebration.

“We had a great time at Make Music Woodhaven celebrated on 6/21! Thanks to everyone who worked hard at the event and the Woodhaven community for supporting it!” the BID posted to its Instagram account.

Several bands filled the humid South Queens air with soothing sounds of summer, while kids enjoyed games, face-painting, and other activities. Adults did whatever they could to beat the heat on what turned out to be a gorgeous afternoon in The World’s Borough.

The Woodhaven BID is a band of property owners, business men and women, as well as community leaders, dedicated to improving Woodhaven commerce. Established in 1993, the BID has been an influential part of the ever-changing, ever-growing business of Woodhaven.
