Auxiliary Cops Talk ATM Safety

Last Thursday, auxiliary police officers assigned to the 102nd Precinct educated South Queens residents on how to safely withdraw money from an automated teller machine.

According to the officers: Be aware of your surroundings—if you notice suspicious persons and don’t feel safe, don’t use a certain ATM; and visually inspect the ATM for skimming devices, which are attachments that collect card numbers and PIN codes.
