Cops this week were still searching for a suspect who is wanted for deliberately disabling an official marked neighborhood watch patrol vehicle by slashing two tires in Ozone Park.
According to the Cityline Ozone Park Civilian Patrol, at approximately 1:20 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, two tires on the Cityline Ozone Park Civilian Patrol’s marked patrol vehicle, a 2016 Ford Fusion, were punctured while it was parked on 89th Street near 102nd Road.

Surveillance footage depicting the act of vandalism has been turned over to investigators.
Surveillance footage shows the suspect arriving in what appears to be a dark blue 2007 to 2013 BMW X5 SUV and parking just north of 102nd Road. The individual exits the vehicle, walks toward the patrol car, appears to check for cameras, and punctures both tires on the driver’s side. On the way back, the same individual slashes a tire on a nearby Jeep before returning to his vehicle and fleeing north on 89th Street past Rockaway Boulevard.
The video has been turned over to the 102nd Precinct Detective Squad, which is actively investigating the incident. COPCP has released an image of the suspect in the hope that someone may come forward with information. Anyone who recognizes the individual or the vehicle is urged to contact the 102nd Precinct Detective Squad at (718) 805-3212.
The disabled vehicle is COPCP’s only patrol car and remains out of service. It is used for late-night visibility patrols, assisting during prayer times, responding to community concerns, supporting events, and related operations. While members continue to observe, report, and assist using personal vehicles or on foot, the loss of the car limits operational capacity, COPCP leaders said.

“We are undeterred,” said Mohammad Khan, Executive Director of COPCP. “Our team remains active and committed. We are confident in the 102nd Precinct’s investigation.”
COPCP operates without a fleet or emergency reserve funding. The organization is requesting assistance from residents and local supporters to help cover the cost of tire replacement and related repairs. Contributions can be made at copcp.org/donate or by contacting the organization directly.
