State Police investigators have reached out to the public for anyone that may have witnessed a fatal hit-and-run auto accident early Monday morning on Interstate 95 at Exit 18B (Mamaroneck Avenue) that claimed the life of a young Richmond Hill man.
According to State Troopers, Maicol Encarnacion Garcia, 20, was crouched outside of a tan Volkswagen Tiguan changing a tire shortly after 12:30 a.m. when he was struck by a tractor-trailer that left the scene. The truck is described as towing two trailers at the moment of impact.
