Robbers hit two Queens Gas Stations

Police are searching for two men who robbed two gas stations on the night of Nov. 19.

The men, who carried handguns, entered the first gas station at 96-27 Queens Blvd. in Rego Park at 7:20 p.m, police said, and took cash from the register.

Police released a video of the two men shoveling cash out of the drawer and then taking money out of the wallets of two employees holding their hands over their heads.

The two men then headed to a gas station at 138-19 Hillside Ave. in Richmond Hill at 7:50 p.m., police said, where they emptied the cash drawer after asking for cigarettes.

Both men appear calm in the video, and police said there were no injuries.

A spokesman from the NYPD said the two suspects took only cash but he was unaware how much. Published reports indicate the pair took $2,500 from the two stations.

Police are urging anyone with information about the robberies to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
