Ocasio allegedly fired a semi-automatic weapon at a crowd of at least five adults and three children who were standing outside this home on 170th Street in Jamaica.

A 28-year-old Queens man who waived extradition after being apprehended earlier this month in Pennsylvania was arraigned last week on murder and other related charges for the drive-by fatal shooting of two individuals and the wounding of a third, all of whom were attending a Fourth of July house party in Jamaica, this past summer.
“A festive summer evening was marred by the senseless shooting deaths of two innocent young individuals – a man and a mother of two – and the wounding of a second man who suffered severe nerve and tissue damage,” said District Attorney Brown. “On the run since this heinous act, the alleged perpetrator has now been captured, returned to New York and is facing the possibility of life behind bars without a possibility of parole.”
The defendant is identified the defendant as Victor Ocasio, 28, who was last known to have resided in Jamaica. Ocasio was arraigned before Queens Criminal Court Judge Eugene Guarino on a nine-count criminal complaint charging him with 1 count of first-degree murder, 2 counts of second-degree murder, 1 count of second-degree attempted murder, 2 counts of first-degree assault, 2 counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and 1 count of first degree reckless endangerment. Ocasio, who faces life in prison without the possibility of parole if convicted, was ordered held without bail and will return to court on November 29.
According to criminal charges, Ocasio was driving by 107-07 170 Street at approximately 3:38 a.m. on July 5, when he fired a semi-automatic weapon at a crowd of at least five adults and three children who were standing outside the house.
Jasmine Quattlebaum, 27, was fatally struck once in the head, Herman Mullings, 28, was hit three times in the back, and a 32-year-old man was struck in the right elbow area. Mullings and the man were transported to a local Queens hospital, where Mullings succumbed to his injuries and the other man was treated for severe nerve and tissue damage.
