Thief Swipes Cell Phone from Vic’s Hand in South Richmond Hill

The City Police Department on Friday reached out to the public for help in identifying a young man wanted in connection with a recent mugging in South Richmond Hill.
According to police reports, on Saturday, Nov. 25, around 1 p.m., the suspect rolled up to the female victim, 27, on his bike in the vicinity of Liberty Avenue and 131st Street, snatched her cellular phone from her right hand, and sped off westbound down the avenue, cops said.
The suspect is described as a young black man with glasses; he was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a gray jacket, blue pants, and black Air Jordan sneakers.
