Area families flocked to Frank M. Charles Memorial Park on Friday to catch up with Gru, Lucy, and of course, the Minions, in “Despicable Me 3.”
The free Movie Night event was organized and sponsored by the Howard Beach-Lindenwood Civic, Howard Beach Kiwanis Club, and Charles Park Conservation Society.
In addition to the fantastic animated film, Movie Night featured free: popcorn thanks to Century 21; water and Marino’s Italian Ices thanks to Almonte’s Key Food of Howard Beach; safety IDs for children and seniors provided by the NY State Freemasons; bike etching and electronics registration provided by NYPD Crime Prevention; and summer event information distributed by National Park Service rangers.
