Elected officials and community leaders on Saturday helped mark the grand opening of the first-ever Richmond Hill Farmers Market in Forest Park.
City Councilman Eric Ulrich (R-Ozone Park) secured $20,000 for the long-awaited stand.
“This new market gives residents direct access to fresh fruit and vegetables from locally sourced farmers—right in their backyard,” Ulrich added.
The market, which is operated by GrowNYC and is located near the Buddy Monument, will return every Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., through Nov. 17.
