The “Good Neighbor Network” launch coincides with RWNY’s “Countdown to $3 Billion” to mark the milestone of the casino’s payment of $3 billion in state taxes for NY schools.

Resorts World Casino New York City announced on Thursday a new community partnership “designed to inspire, empower, and advocate for social and economic good” in The World’s Borough and throughout New York, according to RWNY officials.
The “Good Neighbor Network” will leverage Resorts World’s scale to assist groups by amplifying their work, helping them achieve fundraising goals, and connecting them with volunteers, supporters, and “those in need of a good neighbor,” the South Ozone Park casino said.
The GNN launch coincides with RWNY’s “Countdown to $3 Billion” to mark the milestone of the casino’s payment of $3 billion in state taxes for schools. Resorts World is New York’s largest taxpayer, having already paid $2.88 billion in taxes to support Empire State public schools in the eight years since it opened its doors.
Some of the organizations in RWNY’s “Good Neighbor Network” include the Greater Woodhaven Development Corporation, the Queens Chamber of Commerce, the Queens Economic Development Corporation, and the Queens Botanical Garden.
While 2019 was another big year on several fronts for the borough casino, 2020 is slated to be a milestone. Resorts World Casino New York City’s highly anticipated $400 million expansion is set to open next summer. The project, which is estimated to generate $200 million in economic activity for NY, includes a new 400-room four-star hotel with five-star suites and four new dining outlets.
