Captain Jerome Bacchi has been selected as the new commanding officer of the 106th Precinct, the City Police Department recently announced.
Bacchi succeeds Capt. John Costello, who has led the 106 since November 2019.
NYPD Chief of Department Rodney Harrison thanked the 106th Precinct Community Council for participating in the selection process.
“Our goal is for our commanding officers to begin their new assignments with the support and engagement of the people who live and work in each of New York City’s many diverse neighborhoods, and we could not achieve that goal without your participation,” Harrison added.
