Cops man the grill Tuesday evening at the 106’s National Night Out event.
From Hamilton Beach in Queens to Hamilton Park on Staten Island, a city still in recovery on Tuesday pressed pause on its rebuilding effort for at least one evening to celebrate the special relationship between cops and the communities they serve at the 2021 National Night Out.
The 106th Precinct’s NNO was a boisterous, informative event held at Police Officer Nicholas Demutiis Park, steps from the 106 stationhouse in Ozone Park. The three-hour celebration featured rides, food, giveaways, and music—and reinforced the importance of Neighborhood Policing and cops and communities working together toward a safer city.
