From Long Island City to Lindenwood, The World’s Borough on Thursday celebrated its military veterans at various events marking Veterans Day 2021.
“To the veterans of Queens County and beyond—you have our appreciation, our respect, and our endless gratitude,” said Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz.
As State Sen. Joe Addabbo, Jr. (D-Howard Beach) likes to say, “Every day is Veterans Day!”
“Defending our democracy is paramount, and the growing list of global challenges our service members face makes it even more important for us to support those who have answered the call to serve,” Addabbo added. “This Veterans Day, let us renew our commitment to our veterans and their families – both in word and in deed – as we honor and remember their service in defending the United States at home and abroad.”
City Councilman Eric Ulrich (R-Ozone Park) said, “I’ve spent my entire career fighting for those who fought for us. On This Veterans Day let us honor those brave men and women who have served our great country.”
