A Westechester man was arrested Monday after Transportation Security Administration officers caught him with a loaded .22-caliber handgun at one of the John F. Kennedy International Airport security checkpoints.
TSA officials alerted the Port Authority Police, which responded to the checkpoint, confiscated the gun, and arrested the man, a resident of Tuckahoe, N.Y., on weapons charges. The man also faces a stiff civil penalty for bringing a gun to a security checkpoint.
