A longstanding area homeless encampment has finally been taken down, according to City Councilwoman Joann Ariola (R-Ozone Park).
“After receiving multiple complaints and repeated attempts to offer help to the homeless person encamped on North Conduit Avenue at Lefferts Blvd., treatment was accepted and the encampment was removed,” Ariola reported on Tuesday.
The councilwoman also thanked the City Department of Sanitation and the 106th Precinct for their help in the matter.
