The Queens Jewish Community Council, a non-political, non-partisan body for communication and action for the residents and organizations of The World’s Borough, on Tuesday celebrated the official opening of its new office at 69-69 Main St. in Kew Gardens Hills.
“It was a great honor to be a part of the ribbon cutting celebration to unveil the brand new headquarters for the QJCC!!” City Councilwoman Joann Ariola (R-Ozone Park). “This was a long road, but the day has finally come and I can’t wait to see all of amazing things that will be done at this new location.”
Congresswoman Grace Meng (D-Flushing) said, “This new space will help the group continue its work in advocating for our borough’s Jewish community.”

According to the QJCC, the organization:
- Provides social services to those in need to improve their quality of life regardless of race, creed, age, religion, color, disability, national origin, sex or marital status.
- Protects and advances the interests of Jewish life throughout the Borough of Queens.
- Helps to establish and maintain conditions under which justice and respect for the obligations and rights of citizenship can be perpetuated.
- Cooperates with all religious, ethnic and racial groups in the advancement of civil rights and human dignity, and work to preserve a democratic society.
- Works to combat all forms of anti-Semitism and bigotry and involve itself with the preservation and dignity of Jewish communities throughout the world.
- Encourages a deeper understanding and appreciation of our Jewish heritage and culture.
- Supports the State of Israel.
