City Councilwoman Joann Ariola is on a mission: to deliver pet supplies to local shelters!
“Today we stopped off at the @meowsquadnyc headquarters with a load of food, treats, litter, pet carriers, and other supplies. Thank you so much to all who have donated. And we are also still very much accepting food and supplies for other shelters in our area as well. My office is open for drop-off Monday to Thursday, from 9 AM to 5 PM. Any little bit helps!” Ariola posted to Twitter last week.

Ariola and staff dropped off a load of food, treats, litter, pet carriers, and other supplies.
Ariola kicked off her mission with a pet supply drive that she set up in her Ozone Park District Office, located at 93-06 101st Ave.
“Through City Council funding, I’m able to provide some financial support to some of these groups, but I realize they need more, and they need it quicker than the bureaucracy of New York City can often deliver,” Ariola said.
