The City Police Department this week named Capt. Pratima Maldonado as the new commanding officer of the 102nd Precinct. Maldonado is the first Sikh woman to head a City precinct.
Maldonado’s predecessor, Dep. Inspector Jeremy Kivlin, has been reassigned.
“We would like to thank Deputy Inspector Kivlin for his service to the 102 and wish him the best of luck in his new assignment,” precinct brass wrote on Twitter.
