An Ozone Park woman was beaten and strangled to death with an electrical cord last week following a financial dispute with a man she had hired to work on her 103rd Avenue home, police said.

Juliet Kashidas-Singh was found dead on Thursday the front steps of her home. She was 64.

After discovering his wallet at the scene, cops eventually caught up to and cuffed Francisco Sevilla early Friday morning. He has been charged with first-degree murder.

Sevilla reportedly indicated that Kashidas-Singh owed him $300 for services rendered. This apparently led to a heated argument.

“He made arrangements with her to meet her at her residence to discuss the matter,” NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny told WABC, “and at some point it went sideways and he ended up beating her to death.”

Kenny later praised top-notch police work for the quick capture of the alleged assailant.

“The 106 [Precinct] Detective Squad did a fantastic job based on the picture that they had in the wallet, started to canvass the area and they found [Sevilla] a short distance away standing on a street corner,” Kenny said.

Neighbor Navil Persaud discovered Kashidas-Singh’s body.

“When I came up, I just watch over and I see, like, she’s lying down. Like lying down, straight down,” he told CBS News. “For a lady that age, for something like that happen, that’s terrible.”

At his arraignment, Sevilla’s lawyer claimed that his client “hears voices.”
