Agreement Reached to Allow Forest Hills Stadium Concert Series to Continue

An agreement was reached on Monday between Tiebreaker Productions, the West Side Tennis Club, the NYPD and the Forest Hills Gardens Corporation to allow this year’s Forest Hills Stadium concert series to continue as planned, Queens Borough President Donovan Richards Jr. reported.

Brokered by the Beep, Monday’s deal features the tenet that Tiebreaker Productions utilize private security teams to monitor conditions on the privately-owned streets surrounding Forest Hills Stadium. Following a review of Tiebreaker Productions’ plans, the NYPD agreed to issue the sound amplification permits necessary for this year’s concert series.

The FHGC, which owns the land around the stadium, sued the venue in December, claiming the concerts were detrimental to the quality of life in Forest Hills Gardens, a private borough neighborhood. The co-op’s board was not happy with Monday’s development, telling the Queens Daily Eagle they were left out of the process.

Borough President Richards called the venue “a cultural crown jewel” of Queens.

Two weeks ago, Richards sent a letter to Mayor Eric Adams, calling on his administration to do all it can to ensure the 2025 series continues uninterrupted.

“Forest Hills Stadium is a cultural crown jewel of our borough, bringing diverse crowds from all over the world to Queens every summer through the unifying power of music. This historic venue is emblematic of all that makes Queens great, and I’m thrilled to say we’ve struck a deal to ensure the shows will go on in 2025 as planned,” Richards said. “Beyond its cultural impact, the annual concert series is a boost to Forest Hills’ economy, uplifting small businesses and creating hundreds of jobs at the stadium in the process. I’m grateful to Mayor Adams, Deputy Mayor [Randy] Mastro and all involved for coming together, negotiating in good faith and crafting an agreement that will benefit everyone in Central Queens and beyond.”
