State Sens. Joe Addabbo, Jr. (D-Woodhaven), Roxanne Persaud (D-Brooklyn), and Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-Howard Beach) are bringing a free paper shredding event to Howard Beach.

On Saturday, July 26, from noon to 2 p.m., paper and documents will be professionally and securely shredded at St. Helen’s Church parking lot, located at the corner of 157th Avenue and 84th Street.

Items that cannot be shredded during this event include any cardboard, newspapers, file folders, and metals or plastics. There will be a maximum (three) copy box limit on how much can be shredded per person to ensure that all participants have the opportunity to shred their materials. Only personal files can be shredded, no business or commercial files.
