An Ozone Park man last week was shot to death with his own firearm during a struggle inside a friend’s 103rd Street home, according to police and published reports.
Vick Ramjit, 38, who lived near the house, was shot in the head after he brandished the gun during an argument with his friend. He was declared dead on scene. The friend remained at the home as cops and EMS personnel arrived. He was taken to the 106th Precinct station house for questioning. As of Wednesday afternoon, no charges have been filed in the case.

In a separate incident earlier this summer in South Ozone Park, a man with a gunshot wound to the head was discovered in a car on 97th Street.
Last Tuesday’s incident follows the recent discovery of another shooting victim in South Ozone Park. According to cops, on Sunday, June 29, at approximately 1:43 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 135-22 97th Street. Upon arrival, they found an unidentified man unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS pronounced the individual dead at the scene.
The incident is believed to have occurred overnight. The victim reportedly was a resident of California.
Year to date, overall major crime is down nearly across the board in the 106th Precinct, according to NYPD data. Grand larceny auto is the only major felony that has seen an uptick this year (234) compared to this time last year (208).
