A man was shot and killed outside an Ozone Park night club in the early morning hours of Monday, August 27 and police are searching for a suspect in connection with the shooting.
The incident happened at around 4 a.m. near the club Flirt Lounge on 80th Street and Rockaway Boulevard close to the intersection where Rockaway and Atlantic Avenue meet.
According to police, the suspect shot the male victim in the face, who was rushed to Jamaica Hospital. When paramedics arrived, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Cops describe the suspect as an African-American male between the ages of 35-40. Authorities say they are also looking for a late-1990’s dark Nissan Maxima, which they believe is the vehicle the suspect fled the scene in.
Police say the shooting is still under investigation.
