Councilwoman Karen Koslowitz (D-Forest Hills) recently worked with the Department of Environmental Protection and the Department of Finance to address issues surrounding constituents who are facing the unfortunate risk of their lien being sold. Both agencies spent a day working at Koslowitz’s district office in Forest Hills and met with many constituents to work out payment plans in order to avoid lien sales.
“I am glad that we were able to help people work out payment plans in order to avoid lien sales. With the August 1 deadline quickly approaching, I encourage others facing this serious problem to contact my office at 718-544-8800 for help,” said Koslowitz.
