Queens Senior Missing from Forest Hills

Police are searching for a senior who went missing in Forest Hills on Sunday, Feb. 26. They are asking for the public’s help finding 76-year-old Mie L Cheng-Chiu.

At 5:40 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, the NYPD sent out an alert that Cheng-Chiu was missing.

She is an Asian female, who is 5 feet 3 inches tall and 120 pounds with brown eyes and grey hair.

When she disappeared, she was wearing a grey coat and two different colored shoes.

Police asked anyone who sees her to call 1-800-577-TIPS(8477) immediately.

Cheng-Chiu is the first of two seniors who went missing on two consecutive days.

Just before 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, officials issued another silver alert for Donald Allen Phillips, an 81-year-old suffering from Alzheimer’s who went missing from 25th Street and 7th Avenue in Manhattan.

Phillips was wearing blue jeans, tan slippers, a black “Korean Veteran” hat and a brown flannel jacket.

Police originally instructed anyone who saw him to call 911, but the alert was canceled on Wednesday afternoon.
