One week after an elderly woman went missing in Forest Park, a second one disappeared from the area on Sunday, March 4.

Police issued an alert on Monday that 72-year-old Dolly Arias went missing after leaving her apartment at 104-40 Queens Blvd. in Forest Hills.

Police described her as 5 feet 6 inches tall, 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. They said she is in good physical condition but poor mental condition. She went missing at around 5 p.m.

Exactly one week prior, the NYPD issued another alert abpout a senior missing from the same neighborhood.

Mie L Cheng-Chiu, 76, was last seen in Forest Hills on Sunday, Feb. 26. Photo courtesy of the NYPD.

Seventy-six-year-old Mie L Cheng-Chiu was last seen on Feb. 26 in Forest Hills.

She’s described as an Asian female, 5 feet 3 inches tall, 120 pounds, with brown eyes and grey hair. She was wearing a grey coat and two different colored shoes when she disappeared around 8 a.m.

Neither woman was familiar to the nearby Forest Hills Senior Center.

Its director, Rose Desravines, has had more than 25 years of experience working with seniors and said her center has never experienced a missing senior, let alone a back-to-back one.

She credited that to a proactive, strong relationship with each attendee.

“We know our seniors,” Desravines said. “If they’re sick or if they’re going to be relocated or even going to be on vacation they always let us know.”

Police are asking anyone who sees either woman to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). Tips can be submitted at the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting TIP577 to 274637 (CRIMES).
