Silver Barn Farms, on 80th Street & Caldwell Avenue, just off Eliot Avenue in Middle Village, has just completed major renovations to create a building true to its heritage. The historic location was once a working dairy farm that served the community with fresh milk for nearly 60 years.
In 1969, Silver Barn opened a small store and then moved to its current location after the A&P Supermarket closed in 1970.
To celebrate more than 40 years of service and its great new farmhouse look with the community, Silver Barn Farms will celebrate its grand re-opening, starting on Monday, March 19 and concluding on Sunday, April 1. There will be special sales, food tastings and giveaways.
“We’re grateful to our new and longstanding customers here in Queens and can’t wait to celebrate our fresh new look with our community,” said Abie Gabor, partner, Silver Barn Farms. “We hope everyone will come out and enjoy all the festivities at Silver Barn-where we always leave the barn door open for you.”
