The Middle Village Relay for life will have its 10th anniversary relay in Juniper Valley Park this year on June 23 and 24.
Already, 254 participants as part of 42 teams have signed up and raised $26,778.
That number is quickly growing too. In the last week, two teams and 33 participants joined up and brought about $7,000 of donations with them.
They will walk through the night on June 23 to raise hope, honor cancer survivors and raise money for research to end the disease.
Organizers are looking for more participants, though, to beat last year’s totals of more than 600 people who raised more than $150,000.
The theme this year is “Decade of Hope.”
