Four Alarm Fire Rips Through Three Richmond Hill Homes

A four alarm fire ripped through three homes in Richmond Hill on Thursday evening leaving extensive damage to the houses.

According to FDNY, firefighters responded to the fire at around 5:11 p.m. The blaze started at 107-47 112th Street in Richmond Hill and spread to two adjacent houses.

The FDNY said they got the fire under control about two hours later at 8:13 p.m. and required 40 units and 170 firefighters to
put out the flames.

Damage from the incident could still be seen on Monday, as it destroyed the upper portions of the homes. All three houses had its damaged windows boarded up with wood and were vacant.

There was a total of 18 injuries from the blaze, the FDNY said, including 15 firefighters. None of the injuries are considered serious.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, the FDNY said.
