A Woodhaven teenager is charged with stabbing her 20-year-old brother to death after the pair allegedly had a fight over a missing cell phone.

Published reports detail claims by relatives who say that Yocairis Davis, 18, stabbed her brother Frank Fortuna in self-defense. The attack took place in the living room of the siblings home on 88th Street.

The new York Post reported that Davis called 9-11 and told the operator that she was going to kill her brother and they had better get there fast.

She allegedly then stabbed Fortuna in the neck with a kitchen knife and fled the scene shortly after 5:30 P.M.

A friend reportedly picked Diaz up at the house when she called her after the stabbing.

Fortuna was rushed to the hospital after police arrived but was pronounced dead.

According to police, another brother who witnessed the attack said that the fight broke out when Fortuna tried to take their sister’s cell phone.

Friends and family told reporters that Diaz had tried to get away from her brother, who had an assault record and always looked to start fights with her in the past.

According to father Jose Diaz, she was just “tired of being abused by him.” Cops found Diaz hiding at a friend’s home and made the arrest. She is charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
