Missing 18-Year-Old Richmond Hill Man Found

Kevin Celestin

A man that went missing late last week from a Richmond Hill home was found over the weekend.

Kevin Celestin, who lives on 88th Avenue in Richmond Hill, was missing since Thursday, October 11 but has since been found according to his younger brother, Jonathan.

Jonathan, who attends John Adams High School, said in an interview with The Forum that Kevin had left their home and wasn’t heard from again until Sunday, when he and his parents learned his brother was in a hospital in Brooklyn.

The younger brother said that while he was feeling a little worried about his brother’s whereabouts, he knew that he would be found.

“I had a feeling that nothing really happened to him,” Jonathan said. “I knew that he was somewhere where we can talk to him.”

As for how Kevin ended up in the hospital, Jonathan said that their parents, Joseph and Jacqueline, told him that he got into an altercation sometime between when he left their Richmond Hill and when he was found on Sunday.

Jonathan said that he wasn’t allowed to actually enter the room that Kevin is in because of his age, but he did see him through a window and he said that Kevin didn’t look like he had any serious injuries except for a busted lip.

Kevin graduated from John Adams High School last year and is set to begin his college life at Bronx Community College in January.
