Dozens of friends and family members were on hand to be the first to see the new location of Sofia Pizza at a private party held at the restaurant on Sunday afternoon. Platters and trays of delicious specialties lined gleaming granite counter tops. Owner Nick Agola and wife Angela prepared a feast fit for a king as guests sampled four different pastas, eggplant rollatine, grilled pulpo, chicken francese, house special salad, assorted sauteed vegetables and specialty pizzas. The crowd joined the entire Agola family to wish them well before the new restaurant officially opens on Thursday.
Sofia has been a neighborhood staple for years, well known for their delicious food and affordable pricing. Customers don’t have to travel too far to see the beautiful new store—it’s right next door to the former location at 112-15 Rockaway Boulevard.
