A sleek, stylish interior welcomes yogurt afficiandos in to sample one of 14 rotating flavors. Guests can also enjoy cappuccino, espresso, tea, coffee and hot chocolate.

Summer , winter , spring or fall, the yogurt craze is alive and well in Queens, with an already bustling Metropolitan Avenue about to be treated to one of the newwest tastes in the world of the health conscious confections.

Twist It Top It Frozen Yogurt will open it’s second location in Queens since an extremely successful debut, less than one year ago.

The brainchild of Howard Beach entepreneur Angelo Gurino, the store was the first of its kind in and around the Howard Beach area and features outdoor seating along Cross Bay Boulevard to handle the constant overflow from inside the store.

While the focus is on yogurt, Twist it Top it also features a premium coffe bar where guests can enjoy coffee, cappuccino, espresso and hot chocolate.

And for those yogurt purists wishing to take an occasional step off the beaten path, Twist It Top It will mount your favorite yogurt flavors on a delicious Belgain waffle loaded with any number of sauces and toppings your decerning dessert pallatte can handle.

Guests will enjoy their yogurt in extremely stylish and sleek surroundings designed by Gurino’s wife AnnMarie, which features glass tiled walls, a sparkling red granite topping bar and countertops all serving as the backdrop for bright, colorful seating.

40 toppings from the topping bar including fresh fruit, nuts, candy pieces and gourmet sauces.

The new store will open in Forest Hills at 103-09 Metropolitan Avenue for the first time on Thursday, April 25th, hosting an invitation only Friends and Family Champagne and Yogurt reception.

The public will be treated to the chance to sample one or many of the 14 rotating flavors at the official grand opening of the store on Saturday, April 27. There will be free yogurt for kidsĀ  under 12 all day and anyone outside that age group can get their free yogurt from 12 -3 pm.

Owners Gurino and partner Joe Russo say they are looking forward to what promises to be a long relationship with the Forest Hills community. The new store will be managed by Gurino’s son Angelo Jr. and staffed with employees from the area.

“We strive to hire people from the community,” said Gurino. “Customers like to come in and see familiar, friendly faces. That’s what local business is all all about.”

Twist It Top It offers traditional flavors as well as some exotics like the best selling Nutella as well as Red Velvet. The topping bar boasts more than 40 dangerously deicious choices including a wide variety of fresh fruit, nuts, gummies and gourmet chocolate sauces.
