The man wanted in the brutal slaying of 14-year-old D’aja Robinson on May 18, has been arrested in South Carolina.

Kevin McClinton was taken into custody while lying in a bed at a relative’s home. Authorities who descended on the property said the gunman went without event and surrendered to them.

McClinton is charged with firing a spray of bullets into a Q6 bus that was parked in south Jamaica and was idling near Baisley Boulevard. Robinson and some friends had gotten aboard the bus on their way home from a Sweet 16 party at a neighborhood lounge.

Police say that the killer was carrying out an act of gang vengeance – another teen on the bus was allegedly the actual target because she had been bad mouthing McClinton’s gang, the Snow gang, and because she was friendly with members of the rival EBK gang.

Thousands of spectators attended the funeral for the 14-year-old who was an honor student and known among friends as always smiling and for her love of fashion and dance.

Funeral services were held at the Greater Allen AME Church. Afterward a white horse and carriage, gifted by rapper 50 cent, carried D’aja to her final resting place.

Police sources say it was information from public tipsters that led to the arrest. McClinton has several prior arrests and an open gun case from a Queens incident.

He is presently being held in South Carolina and will be extradited to New York, where he will be arraigned in Queens

Criminal Court on a complaint charging him with second-degree murder, first-degree reckless endangerment, and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. If convicted, he faces up to 25 years to life in prison.
