Once again, Liberty Avenue was a hotbed of police activity last weekend.

A 46-year-old man was stabbed in the chest while attending a house party on Liberty Avenue in Ozone Park around 8:30 p.m. Saturday night, according to police. The man, who police did not identify, was rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and treated for non-life threatening injuries, according to the NYPD.

Neighbors, who wished to remain nameless for fear of retaliation, said the victim was attending a party and was allegedly stabbed by the host. As of Wednesday, police had not made any arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

“I saw the man being wheeled out on the stretcher and there was blood everywhere,” one neighbor said. “It was pretty frightening, but I heard that he’s recovering.”

The attack was one of two that happened on Liberty Avenue over the weekend. Police also said they are investigating an attack on a gay rights activist outside of Players Bar on Liberty Avenue in Richmond Hill on Sunday night.
