A 5-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital last Thursday after he was struck by a van in front of 114-36 115th St. in South Ozone Park, officials said.
The child sustained a major head injury and was transported to Long Island Jewish Hospital, according to the FDNY. The driver of the van that hit him stayed at the scene. Witnesses told NYPD officers that the driver was allegedly going very fast in the residential area.
