Police are continuing to search for a stun-gun wielding man who they said raped a 69-year-old jogger in Forest Park at the end of August – and who the NYPD recently linked to at least five other sexual assaults in the area in the last couple of years.
According to police, the assailant used a black stun gun to attack the woman who was running inside the park near 72nd Street and Union Turnpike around 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 26. The perpetrator is described as a white man who is between the ages of 30- and 40-years-old, stands at about 5-foot-10 with a thin build, and has short hair, police said.
There is a $22,000 reward for the arrest, indictment and conviction of the person responsible, the NYPD said.
Anyone with information about the suspect should contact the NYPD at (800) 577-TIPS.
