Dr. Alexandra Khaimov, of Grand Smile Dental in Maspeth, will sponsor a Halloween candy buy-back from Nov. 1 through Nov. 8 at her office located at 69-77 Grand Ave.
“Trick or treating is fun, but all that sugar int he bag can cause tooth decay,” as well as trigger weight gain and fatigue, the dentist’s office stressed.
The dentist’s office will give $1 for each pound of candy.

Dr. Khaimov is also sponsoring a “Do a Good Deed” contest for residents to win a Kindle Fire.
The contest is open to anyone 18 years old or younger. Participants should write a short essay about a good deed the individuals did, what they did, why they chose to do it, and what happened as a result.
